Birthday Wish
These Pigalle 120 Python Christian Louboutin pumps are on my birthday wishlist.
I think if I make it down to London for my birthday weekend trip, I will just have to treat myself to these beauties....................I love them!!!
I haven't posted in a while. To cut a long story short, I took a severe reaction to my first chemo treatment the other week and ever since have been really unwell. Today is the first day I've felt up to getting on the computer so hopefully as each day goes by, I will feel better :-)
I knew chemo was not going to be easy.......but didn't expect it to be this hard. I know this is a fight I have to try to stay strong for and I will give it all I can to try to beat this cancer.
I have the best friends and family, who have all been such an amazing support to me already, so thank you to them all.
Now, back to dreaming of these stunning, classic Louboutin shoes..........you will be mine!!

A Fighter
So, it's been a good while since I last posted something on the blog. Less than 2 weeks ago, I was told I have cancer. I've spent the last 2 weeks in and out of hospital for various tests and have been through every emotion you can think of from feeling sad, scared, angry.......
My cancer started in the bowel and has now spread to my liver. The Doctors said it was so unusual for someone my age (30) to have this and they reckon I've had this for years but the symptoms are only just coming to light just now.
I've survived Meningitis when I was younger so I will try to beat this now too.
Pending further biopsy results, all being well, I am due to start my chemo next week. I have the best support from my family and friends and will need this for my big fight ahead. All I can do is try to stay strong, positive, be brave and keep fighting this.
For the long road ahead, I know I will have my good days and my bad days. On my good days I will try to get out and make the most of it and on the not so good days, I will have a good rest and put on the Sex and the City DVD boxset and get my bestie to paint my nails and do my hair!
I'm going to try to keep in with the blogging as after all, my passion for fashion will never leave me so it will give me something to focus on and keep my mind occupied with.

I need a Hero...
On my wishlist this week is this bat print jumper from Zoe Karssen.
I love the ribbed shoulder detailing on this, it gives the effect of it being slightly padded.
I'd wear this classic jumper with my skinny jeans or a leather pencil skirt.

On another note, lately I haven't been posting much on my blog or on twitter. I have been unwell so will be drifting in and out of my blog and twitter for the next few months until I get myself better. x

Back to Basics
Zara skirt with hip detail - the colour is called "make-up" which I though was cute! |
Zara blouse with gold stud shoulder detail |
Zara linen-mix tee with jewel shoulder detail |
Zara drawstring leopard print trousers |
Zara basic black sandal - at £29.99 these are a bargain! |
Zara silk back jumper - love the little silk peter pan collar on this |
Zara silky lingerie style shorts with rose-gold stud detail |
I must confess, I am addicted to Zara!! Hands down, it has to be my favourite high street store.
Anytime I go into Zara, without fail, I'll see loads of things love and take the maximum amount I can into the changing room. To be fair mind you, sometimes the things I love, I don't love so much on as I thought I did seeing it on the hanger.
Above is some of my latest Zara purchases. I'm not afraid of colour and have a closet full of brights, neons.... the whole colour spectrum, but lately I've been more attracted to buying neutral, capsule collection pieces that I can mix and match.
The only thing I don't like about Zara is that sometimes new things will sell out fast and not come back in stock, for example, I've been after a pair of high-waisted white shorts with gold zips and have been hunting for them for weeks now but can never find them! A kind store assistant, wrote the code down for me so now it's a case of a daily check on the website to see if they appear again.
Today, I saw a beautiful lime green suede over-sized clutch bag but there was only one and it was marked. I went to order it online and they only have it in yellow or blue so this is another thing I need to keep hunting for!
Remember these Louis Vuitton pumps with the metal covered toe detail?

Check out these almost identical Zara beauties:-
These shoes are simply stunning! They are the like a pale blush pink shade and feel like soft suede and cost £49.99 but they sold out almost immediately! Love these, perfect and classic!
I'm looking forward to wearing all my new stuff and teaming the neutrals with pops of colour like my neon yellow Cambridge Co Satchel or my bright blue J Brand skinny jeans etc
Happy shopping xx

Missing in action
Sorry, I feel like I've recently been neglecting my blog. With working full time in an office and planning my wedding (I'm getting married in November!!!) it's sometimes hard to get the time to sit down and write!
Anyway, apart from my wedding planning ( which I'll blog about later) here's some of the things I've been up to these past few weeks.
Had a lovely trip to the seaside last weekend. It was so hot down in Lythem, St Anne's, I had to buy a maxi dress to change out of my jeans!! Or a lovely bright floral maxi dress from Oxfam that was brand new still with the tags on for a £5! I love a good bargain!! It took us just under 4 hours to drive down from Glasgow but the drive was lovely & getting to the beach with the dog was worth it! We chose to go down to St Anne's as my grandparents lives down there for a while so it always brings back fond, fun memories for us.
Honeymoon buys, we have booked to go to Cancun for our honeymoon! The longest flight I've ever been on was 7 1/2 hours from Glasgow to Boston so the 11 1/2 hours should be an experience. I figure, if we watch some in-flight films, have our meals then get a wee sleep then it will be okay :-)
I've recently had a bit of a major spree on H&M bikinis. I think I have about 9 new bikini's!!! It's not that I'm a bikini addict, the H&M bikini's are so lovely and at around £7/£8 a set it's not breaking the bank! I also got a cute kimono that will be great over my bikinis or even wearing over a tank & shorts during the day.My mum also ordered me a Mexican/Spanish phrasebook and a Cancun top 10 guide so I'll need to start doing my homework and learn the lingo :-)
Aside from my h&m buys this month, I've been hitting Zara pretty hard too!! I would say I am a bit of a Zara addict just now :-). I couldn't resist these leopard print trousers, they are honestly so comfy & I think on holiday, times when I want to cover my legs from the sun, these teamed with a cute top & sandals will be perfect. They are baggy at the top and tapered at the legs. I was concerned they light look like pj's but I've been assured they don't!! Post to follow of my Zara buys this month.
For the next 5 months, I will have less time to focus on my blog with all the wedding planning and preparation but I will try to keep posting and look forward to posting about my wedding plans too! My goal is after my honeymoon to invest in a proper camera so I can start to post daily "what I'm wearing" outfit posts so you should me and my personal style more through the blog as soon as I have the camera!
Thanks for reading my blog xx

You're looking a little shirty
Maurie and Eve Sedgwick Dress |
Equipment Lucida Dress |
Equipment Lucida Dress in Animal Print |
Zara shirt style tunic |
So the new trend in town is the shirt style dress, and I have to say I'm loving it!
I first fell in love with the Maurie and Eve Sedgwick shirt style dress. At first glance, this dress looks really cool and understated but when you give this dress the time, the frost floral faint pattern and the brassy gold collar tips make this little shirt dress something really special.
I do need this pretty dress in my life!
The second and third shirt style dresses are by the brand Equipment and like Maurie and Eve they really are gorgeous, quality looking dresses. I love the striped collar and the contrasting button placket on the second dress and as for the leopard print..... who doesn't need a little leopard print dress in their lives?
When I saw the Zara shirt style tunic dress I thought, what a perfect cover up for over your bikini on holiday or wear it opened with the sleeves rolled up over your cut off shorts, tank top & some chunky jewels. At only £35.99 this is a good investment item too!
So ladies, give your body-con and bandage style dresses a well deserved rest and invest in a pretty little shirt style dress for this new season.

It's Caviar Dahling
So, I was lucky enough to order a Black Ciate Caviar manicure set from Selfridges before they had sold out!
Ciate say "The inspiration behind the Caviar Manicure™ came about when Charlotte, Ciaté’s Creative Director, was looking to create 3-dimensional nails for a front cover magazine shoot and wanted to develop something feminine, indulgent yet delicately extravagant.
The finished effect gives nails an instant sophisticated look.
Very Ciaté!"
I can't wait to try this out for myself to see if my nails look as gorgeous as the images do!
The kit is available in Black Pearls, Mother of Pearl and Rainbow and costs £18. It includes
1 x nail paintpot, 1 x caviar pearls, 1 x tray & 1 x mini funnel.
How to apply:-
Work on one nail at a time and apply two coats of the enclosed Ciaté Paint Pot shade.
Place your finger over the tray and sprinkle Caviar pearls over your painted nail ensuring you do this whilst the nails are still wet.
Once fully covered, gently press and compact the Caviar pearls into your nail bed to ensure durability.
Place the mini funnel into the Caviar pearls bottle and tilt the tray over the funnel to pour in your precious beads.
Once finished, leave your nails to completely dry for 15 to 20 minutes.
Voila! You now have perfectly Caviar manicured nails.
To Remove: Easily comes off with regular nail polish remover.
Full Directions can be found inside packaging.

Cody
I have fallen in love with these pale blue Cody D'Orsay shoes by 3.1 Phillip Lim.
Phillip Lim have called these shoes "simple but grand gestures" which they sure are!
I love the high-fashion feel and delicateness of these pretty pastel blue shoes and how they look comfortable with the metallic cushioned in-soles. By day I'd wear these with rolled-up boyfriend jeans, tee and a blazer and by night they would be a statement piece to any of my evening dresses or a pencil skirt and blouse.
The problem I have with falling in love with something like these, is that, how do I get them?
The 3.1 Phillip Lim Online Boutique don't ship to the UK nor do Shopbop.com so my only hope is that the UK Net-a-Porter site gets them online soon or hunting for them whilst I'm next down in London!
My search for these perfect shoes is to be continued............

My Beauty Essentials
Firstly, apologies for not updating my blog for a few weeks now, I have been unwell :-( but now I'm back on the mend and can get back onto the fashion blogging!
So today, a little treat from Selfridges arrived for me ~ my clearly mac trio make-up bags and my Nars Orgasm blusher and Turkish Delight lipgloss!
I have been reading about the Nars Orgasm blush for a while now and after hearing of it being the"ultimate authority in blush" and being "the industry's most iconic shade for cheeks", I had to try it for myself.
As with the Orgasm blush, I heard great reviews about the Turkish Delight Lipgloss, even heard it was Kim Kardashians must have lipgloss....(and I'm a big fan of the Kardashian's look) so thought I'd try out this pretty punchy peach shade.
As my pretty packaged make-up only arrived today, I haven't yet had a chance to try it out but as soon as I do, I will post an updated on it.
Also pictured is one of my new make-up bags with my make-up essentials of:-
HD Brows Pallette in Vamp
Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Golden Light
Bobbi Brown Blusher in Pink Coral (gives a nice flush of colour with a hint of sparkle)
Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Bikini Pink (nude/pinky shade)
Mac Lipgloss in Underage & Florabundance (neutral / nude shades)
Mac Lipstick in Lady Danger (vibrant bright red)
Mac Wonder Woman limited edition Mascara
YSL Mascara
YSL Touche Eclat Highlighter
Barry M Lipgloss in Milkshake (a pretty pink shade that won't break the bank) I'm also inheriting my Mums collection of new Chanel make-up brushes so they will be perfect to use with all my new make-up kit!
I like more of a natural make-up look so like either a slightly bronzed face with a pinky/nude cheek and lip and mascara or going for more of a vibrant red lip.
I'm going to test out the new Nars tinted moisturizer at some point too as hear that since launching it's proving to be a hit! With so many shades to pick, I figure going into the make-up counter to have the artist select and test the best shade would be the best thing to do.

The peak of this-season
Natural straw hat on the Burberry Runway |
Gold Ombre straw hat on the Burberry Runway |
Stripe straw hat on the Burberry Runway |
Fresh from the Burberry Runway, these understated peaked straw hats with pom poms are going to be a hit this season.
These hats remind me of a jockey's hat.....think Jockey's hat / summer straw hat and knitted winter pom pom beanie and this is what you get!!!
I'm a hat lover and I actually really like these hats but at £250 - £275 I won't be rushing out to buy one just yet...
