Wildfox

Feel free as a bird in these beautiful bird print wide-leg trousers by Wildfox.

The fresh and neutral pepper white shade makes them the perfect companion for guiding you through all the seasons of the year. I could see myself wearing these trousers with a silky camisole top, suede wedges and a bright over-sized clutch bag on holiday in the summer!

Love these!

Smoking Slippers

The seasons new shoe trend says hello to the smoking slippers.
These comfortable and dare I say it stylish flats are taking the high street by storm with the studded 'Vectra' slipper loafers from Topshop selling out within hours of going online!

I had a wander over to Topshop at lunchtime today to check them out as wanted to see what all the fuss was about over the studded 'Vectra' flats however they were no where to be seen. I did try on the black glitter version and I have to agree, they are comfy and cute and at £20 they are not to be laughed at!

My adventure at Sloans Market, Glasgow

I thought i'd let you know how my experience at Sloans Market in Glasgow yesterday went.
Overall I had a fun day! It started of pretty slow with not many people visiting the market but towards the afternoon the stall was busy. My vintage pieces seemed to go down the best, with there being not as much insterest in my past season high street collections. At least I know for next time what stock to take more of!! I also think that next time hanging rails for my clothes would work better for people to browse through.

The pictures above are taken with my iphone so not great! Our stall was also really dark as the market stall had problems with putting up the lights which was a shame as the lights would have set the stalls off well!

I have to say, the main attraction on my stall was my vintage leather bag, If I had a £1 for the times someone had picked it up!! A lovely student from Sweden bought the bag in the end! Some other great pieces from my collection that sold was my vintage oversized beaded top (perfect with jeans), My vintage leather Harrods business card holder that came in the design of a miniture suitcase (a gorgeous collectors item) and also my vintage Vivienne Westwood perfume case set amongst lots of other bits and pieces so I'm really chuffed with how the day went after such a slow start to the day!

On reflection to the day, I think the market really doesn't get alot of passing traffic because people still don't know it exists. I have worked in Glasgow for many years and I'm in shopping regularly and particularly in Zara which is right next to the market and I still never knew it was there! Perhaps if I'm doing another stall, I'll make up some flyer's to hand out to people on the high street so they can come along and check out the stalls because it is a shame for people to miss it!

Sloans Market, Glasgow

So I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow as i'm trying out a stall at Sloans Market in Glasgow for the first time, (eeekk)!! I'm really excited but a little anxious as really not sure how the day will go. I really do hope it's busy and the stall is a success so I can make it a regular thing.

I will be running the stall with my best mate Gillian and we will be selling a mixture of vintage clothing and accessories, past season clothing from the High Street and costume jewellery, so something for everyone!!

So, if you are shopping in Glasgow tomorrow, head along to Sloans Market which is located on the lane that runs between Buchanan Street and Argyll Street, right next to Zara on Buchanan Street. Hope to see you there!

The Box Boutique London

On tonights episode of "Made in Chelsea" they featured The Box Boutique in Mayfair, London. On screen, the boutique looked colourful and full of quirky looking shoes so I thought i'd check out the website to have a look. I have to say, some of the shoes are fab! I especially like the snake print platforms!

Check it out and see what you think!

The Burberry Boot

Burberry has done it again. These ankle boots are just gorgeous.
I love the contrast of the punky buckles against the black fluffy shearling lined cuff.

These boots are stylish to wear with your jeans or pretty mini dress, sensible with the practical thick rubber sole and you will thank them for keeping you warm with the colder weather fast approaching!

Buy these now for £695

The Reiss Lookbook

Highstreet brand Reiss showcases our most coveted looks for this season.
From the perfect little black dress to high fashion sequins to fluffy gilets it's hard not to fall in love with these pieces.

I love the Sequin trousers. It would be hard not to stand out from the crowd or turn heads in these beauties! The trousers are called "Hero" and will set you back a cool £175.....ohhh so worth every penny though!

Today's Buy

I did a dangerous thing today.......... on my lunch break from work I went for a look in Zara. Big mistake, as anytime I go in I always seem to buy something, which when trying hard to save for my wedding is not always a great thing!!

Anyway, I saw loads of gorgeous things in Zara's new season collection. I whittled my selection down to the maximum of 6 items for taking into the changing room and out of my options I fell for this over-sized knit. These pictures really don't do this knit justice, I myself wouldn't want to rush out and buy it from seeing these pictures of it but trust me when you see it in the flesh and try it on you can't argue that it is stunning. The knit features cute bell cuffs, a zip at the back and glistens with bronze, cream, gold and cotton candy pink tones, I love it!!

I'm planning on wearing this with my jeans, my Sass and Bide Black Rats leggings or cute shorts.

Amongst many other nice things I also saw a shorter silver chunky knit jumper with leather elbow patches which if they had had in my size, I'd have bought also.

Oh well, I suppose another lunchtime trip into Zara will not do much harm! At least I am being sensible and buying warm knits!!

Today's Look

Miranda Kerr in Paris

Supermodel Miranda Kerr looks stunning in this leather and silk combo look.
Pair your leather trousers with a pretty silk shirt for a dressy look or a basic t-shirt to opt for a more casual laid-back look.

I think if I invest in a pair of leather trousers I'd team them with a plain white or grey t-shirt and a bright pink boyfriend style blazer with the cuffs rolled up.
Zara had a few different bright pink blazers in store a month or so back and I now regret not getting one back then. Keeping my eye out for the perfect one!

Everyone's wearing, Biker Boots

Studded Biker Boots by Zara

The Biker Boot is a current must have. These boots will act as the staple accessory to your collection and will work with your pretty dresses and cut-off shorts in the summer and your faithful jeans or leggings for the winter.

I like both the Topshop buckle biker and the Zara studded biker boots that are out in the high street stores now. So as not to have a repeat of last year, when I was sliding around in the ice with non-gripped boots, I have my Jimmy Choo Hunters at the ready for the snow and plan on investing in a pair of either the Topshop or Zara biker boots (both of which have great rubber gripped soles).
