My Wedding Dress

I'm so in love with this wedding gown by Marchesa:

This gown is called "Emmy" and is a stunning embroidered crepe and feather bottom slip gown. I have been searching for my perfect dress for ages and when I came across this gown I knew this was 'the one' for me. I love the elegant sihlouette of this gown and how the feather detail at the bottom with the small train adds the romantic touch.

In the past, my ideal dress use to be something like this:-
"Bella" dress by Marchesa.
I loved the fullness of this dress and the jewelled detail belt however my taste has drastically changed and i'm now more in love with the idea of an elegant 'wedding gown' rather than the traditional 'wedding dress'.

I do like this lace wedding dress with the backless detail and lace covered buttons. Lace can be hard to pull off as it's such a heavy detail so this dress is not for everyone. Nice but I just love the Marchesa 'Emmy' gown!

So, I now just have to locate this perfect "Marchesa Emmy gown"! The hunt is now on :-)

My Wedding Location

So i'm starting to plan my wedding, very exciting, but oh, lots and lots to think about!
Growing up I've always dreamt of having the traditional white wedding with the big merigune dress although as the years have gone by, my dreams have changed.

It's so easy to get carried away with your wedding plans, but I am determined not too. I'm thinking more along the lines of escaping with close family to somewhere stunning like the Seychells where the turqouise sea and soft white sands will provide the perfect, romantic backdrop to an intimate wedding then have a big party celebration when we return home!
Escaping to the sunshine has it's benefits, it blends in your wedding with your honeymoon and will take away the strain of us having to find the perfect venue, cars, flowers, bridesmaid dresses....the list goes on!
The idea of having a relaxing few days holiday when we arrive on the Island whilst the wedding ceremony is being organised by the wedding planner is so appealing.

Lots and lots to think about!

Check out the beaufitul Denis Island on the Seychells:-

My fiancee and I love animals so a spot of Scuba Diving on our honeymoon would be fantastic as it's something we've always wanted to do but haven't had the chance too.

Bliss!

The detailed shape of the legs on the frames is so pretty and romantic that the wearer will feel like they have been sent back in time to the black and white movies era.

The Kate Middleton Reiss dress

Take one highstreet dress (Reiss "Shola" Dress at £175):-

See Kate Middleton wearing the dress:-

and voila.................a highstreet sell out in minutes!

I personally wouldn't wear this dress but it does look perfect on Kate.

It's amazing the influence that someone in the public eye has on us all. I myself have purchased things seen on some celebs. Take the Bright Blue J Brand Jeans, I first saw them on Kim Kardashian and thought they looked stunning on her so got a pair myself!
It's nice to get some of your influences from others although try to add your own stamp into the mix and make the look your own, after all it would be a boring world if we all looked the same and we are all unique!

Pretty in Preen

This Preen dress features a racer-back top which is embedded with beautiful beads and a more simple pencil style bottom which balances out the overall look of the dress. I love the soft grey shade of this dress, very elegant indeed.

Designer V High Street - The cut-out ankle boot

The Giuseppe Zanotti cut-out ankle boot has been seen on many celebs including Kim and Khloe Kardashian as pictured below:-

For a pair of these beauties, don't expect any change from £500.

For the savvy high street shoppers, check out these almost identical ankle boots from Aldo:

I actually got a pair of these and with them, I even got change from my £50!!

These boots look good with dresses or skirts or with more casual jeans or turned-up combat  trousers.

My perfect travel outfit

Loose-fitting olive green linen combat style trousers, white tank top, black blazer with turned up sleeves and gorgeous sandals:-

I just got these trousers today from Zara. They are gorgous with my cut-out detail ankle boots (as seen in picture) or with flats. These trousers are also available in Navy.

I'll wear this with flat sandals for travelling on holiday then throw on my heels and a dressy top for going out at night.

The look - My black blazer is from Zara, white tank top by Alexander Wang and the ankle boots are Aldo's highstreet version of the Giuseppe Zanotti cut out ankle boots. Nails - I'm currently wearing a bright pink Chanel nail polish on my toenails called "Riveria" -  the pink clashes well against the olive green trousers and black cut-out ankle boots.

What the Celebs are wearing now.......

Christian Louboutin 'Daffodil' pumps

Kourtney Kardashian in nude 'Lady Daffodil' pumps

Victoria Beckham in black  'Daffodil' pumps

Beyonce rocking a blinged out pair of Daffodil pumps

With the 6.5" heel and 2.5" hidden platform, these pumps are not for the faint-hearted!

I do really like these pumps although really not sure I could stand up in them let alone put one foot in front of the other in them!!

Jennifer Lopez Hair

I love Jennifer Lopez's hairstyle / hair colour in her new music video "on the floor" which features Pitbull.

What a fab song this is too:-

I'm thinking I might get my hair coloured like this for my holidays in a few weeks! I love the rich brown and warm caramel tones of this colour!

I think J Lo just looks better with age!!

Topshop Personal Shopping Launch in Glasgow

I've just got back from attending the Topshop personal shopping launch event in Glasgow and  what a fun filled night me and my best pal Gillian had!

On arrival we were welcomed with Cocktails & Champagne which we thoroughly enjoyed whilst wandering around the store to check out what gorgeous pieces they had in. We then watched the catwalk show where the stunning models showcased the current must-have trends.

After getting some inspiration from the catwalk collection and armed with a 15% discount for purchases on the night, we hit the rails.
With a Trip to London, the Fashionistas paradise,  I was very good and only purchased one top (i'm trying hard to save my pennies for London in the hope of finding some unique gems). Gillian however, got some amazing things tonight including a stunning vibrant coral maxi skirt and a vintaged feel floral crop bra top. Gillian must have been a stylist in a previous life as boy is she on the ball and is great at throwing amazing looks together!

Our mission one day is to set up our own fashion business together where we can put our passions and talents to work!

Anyway, overall the night was a great night and we would strongly recommend booking in with the personal shoppers. Wether you are looking for a complete overhaul to your current look or are simply stuck for the perfect outfit idea for an up and coming party then book an appointment with the Stylists, they really do know there stuff!!

Enjoy   x

What would you go for?

Okay, as i've mentoned in my past posts, H&M currently have loads of gorgeous bikinis in.
I popped into H&M at lunchtime today and tried on two bikinis and I can't decide which one to go for!

Black bikini set with gold skull details and side tassles on the bottoms:-
(£9.99 for the top and £7.99 for the bottoms - this set is also available in yellow and cream)

Beige mix zebra print bikini with shell detail on the ties:-
(£9.99 for the top and £7.99 for the bottom and also comes in multi-colour)

and to top it all off, check out these cute shorts...............................

H&M black and white shorts with pockets £7.99
I have these shorts in a blush pink shade with leopard print and they are the perfect light, and fun shorts for wearing on holiday!

I'm still undecided to which set to go for! Oh decisions decisions!!

One thing I have found with H&M bikini's is I find the tops are really small made. I find myself getting a top at least 2 sizes bigger as I feel the tops really are tiny made. I suppose unlike other stores where the sets are sold together it's good if you are bigger up top or bottom that in H&M you are not tied to the one size set. Has anyone else found this??

Best Buys

With my holiday to the sunshine only a few weeks away I've been hunting for some cute holiday outfits and managed to pick up some gorgeous things this weekend! I really don't need anything new however it's always nice to treat yourself to some nice, new holiday things plus the things I picked up were too good a bargain to pass up!!

Here's some of the cute things I picked up:-

H&M shorts and top ~ I was instantly drawn to the vibrant pink shade of this top and you can never go wrong with animal print so though these pale blush pink shorts were just adorable. This top looks amazing tucked into these high-waisted shorts and will be a good day or night time outfit for my holiday.

Zara platform shoes ~ I tried these shoes on ages ago and at the time I decided not to get them. As usual, a few weeks passed by and I wished I had got them. I had put the shoes to the back of my mind until I popped into Zara on Friday at lunchtime and found the last pair in my size and even better, to my delight, they were half price...............result!
I'm not sure how high these shoes are but lets just say know I know what it's like to be a few inches taller and the same height as my gorgeous fiancee!! These skyscrapers went out for a test run last night at a friends engagement party and I'm delighted to say my feet survived through a whole night of throwing some moves down on the dance floor and not an injury was had....excellent!

H&M Sandals ~ I saw these today and had to have them. This picture really doesn't do these sandals justice. These are comfy, stylish and are in such a fun bright purple. If the purple is too daring for you, they also come in a classic black. I'll have fun wearing my new bright yellow "mimosa" Chanel nail polish with these this summer!

I highly recommend you head into H&M soon to check out the summer collections. They have gorgeous maxi dresses, shorts, bikini's..............you name it, they have it and at great prices too!

Orange Hermes Birkin bag.........just perfect!

Kourtney Kardashian was given this beautiful Hermes Birkin bag by her mum for her birthday.
This trademark Hermes orange shade is timeless and my, what a fantastic gift to get for your birthday!!

I wouldn't say no to this bag however if I was getting one I would probably go for the classic chocolate brown Birkin bag with the gold hardware (It may take me years and years to save up for one though!!)

My Summer Essentials

Check out this gorgeous bikini set I just got from H&M:

The set cost under £20..............oh I do love a bargain!
I cannot wait to wear this on holiday with my new Primark £4 hat (my hat is a cross between a trilby hat and a floppy hat so it mixes the on trend trilby style with the practical floppy style to protect me from the sun).

My mum also just informed me that she has just managed to get me the Chanel summer 2011 nail colour 'Mimosa',the perfect  must have banana yellow shade to complete  my beach outfit!

Head down to both H&M and Primark now to grab your summer staple bargains!
H&M bikini's are all under £20 and Primark has some cute bikinis for under £6.
Primark also has great reversible beach towels for £7 and flipflops for £1.50 so you really can get all your summer holiday essentials at prices that won't break the bank!
