Leaving on a jet plane.................

So with it being so cold, wet and windy outside I can't help but think with great excitment of us jetting off somewhere exotic and sunny for our honeymoon next year! Not actually thought of where we will go on honeymoon yet but we do know it will be somewhere special where we can relax, explore and enjoy the sunshine :-)

Anyway, I was looking on H&M today and after a few minutes I already have 2 gorgeous bikini sets, 2 kimonos and a beach towel in my basket to buy for my honeymoon!
Take a look at what I've fallen for:-

Kimono £19.99 H&M

Bikini set £9.99 for top & £7.99 for bottoms H&M

Kimono £19.99 H&M

Bikini set £9.99 Top, £7.99 Bottoms H&M

Beach Towel £6.99 H&M

The perfect beach hat is the Panama Fedora hat. This hat is £45 from Net-a-Porter - So classic, I love it!

Over the past few years I've had a few bikini sets from H&M and have been really pleased with them. This summer it was my H&M banana print bikini that I couldn't get enough of!
The white bikini set is the classic honeymoon bikini set and the bright white and green print kimono looks stunning over it. I love animal prints and have a new Dolce & Gabbana leopard print bikini set which I can't wait to wear, I thought this snakeskin print set on H&M with matching kimono would be perfect too as prints like these will never date.

The panama hat is from Net-a-porter and at £45 it's good value. I love, love love hats and think a panama fedora hat for wearing on the beach with my bikini and kimono sets and oversized shades will look gorgeous. I now just need to figure out the size of hat I would need to order!
The best thing about getting a panama hat for your holiday to the sunshine is they are super light and you can roll them up so they don't take up alot of space when packing.

Even although my honeymoon won't be until November 2012, i'm trying to get organized and get bits and bobs when I see them so it's less stressful nearer the time. I'm a nightmare for also seeing something nice, not ordering it then a while later when I go to order it, there's none left so now if I see something I want I'll get it before it's gone!

Bring on the sunshine!

New York, New York

Recently I have been thinking about different honeymoon destinations for after my wedding.
My partner Alan and I like the idea of going to New York for a city break after our big day. I have never been to NYC and Alan has only been when he was a wee boy so we thought it would be nice for me to experience the big Apple for the first time and for him to go back as an adult who can appreciate it more.

We like the idea of New York as it really has something for everyone. Being able to explore the city doing the fun touristy things, have lunch in Central Park and of course & shop till we drop....(well perhaps I should say "shop till I drop")! Alans not much of a shopper, his idea of shopping is to go a twice a year for a splurge where as I like to shop all throughout the year picking up different bits and pieces as I go. In saying that, i'm sure with New York on the cards, he'd be happy to shop and see what unusual things he can pick up.

So now, the research begins as I really do not have a clue where in NYC is best to stay. Looking for somewhere nice that's close to the good shopping areas...................if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

My search for the Perfect Wedding venue

My Fiancee and I are currently planning our wedding so we have been busy looking at what venues are available both here in Scotland and abroad. We don't have a set "dream wedding" plan so we are really open-minded and having lots of fun (and sometimes stress) looking at all our options!

My recent internet inspiration threw up France and in particular, the French Riviera. I have been to France and Paris and loved it. It really is a beautiful country to visit.

Have a look at some of these stunning locations in France:-

From a quaint little town church to a medieval castle or a chateau surrounded by colourful wild flowers, the south of France would be a stunning place to get married.

Let's just stay we have a lot to think now!

My Wedding Location

So i'm starting to plan my wedding, very exciting, but oh, lots and lots to think about!
Growing up I've always dreamt of having the traditional white wedding with the big merigune dress although as the years have gone by, my dreams have changed.

It's so easy to get carried away with your wedding plans, but I am determined not too. I'm thinking more along the lines of escaping with close family to somewhere stunning like the Seychells where the turqouise sea and soft white sands will provide the perfect, romantic backdrop to an intimate wedding then have a big party celebration when we return home!
Escaping to the sunshine has it's benefits, it blends in your wedding with your honeymoon and will take away the strain of us having to find the perfect venue, cars, flowers, bridesmaid dresses....the list goes on!
The idea of having a relaxing few days holiday when we arrive on the Island whilst the wedding ceremony is being organised by the wedding planner is so appealing.

Lots and lots to think about!

Check out the beaufitul Denis Island on the Seychells:-

My fiancee and I love animals so a spot of Scuba Diving on our honeymoon would be fantastic as it's something we've always wanted to do but haven't had the chance too.

Bliss!
