It's Caviar Dahling

So, I was lucky enough to order a Black Ciate Caviar manicure set from Selfridges before they had sold out!
Ciate say "The inspiration behind the Caviar Manicure™ came about when Charlotte, Ciaté’s Creative Director, was looking to create 3-dimensional nails for a front cover magazine shoot and wanted to develop something feminine, indulgent yet delicately extravagant.
The finished effect gives nails an instant sophisticated look.
Very Ciaté!"

I can't wait to try this out for myself to see if my nails look as gorgeous as the images do!

The kit is available in Black Pearls, Mother of Pearl and Rainbow and costs £18. It includes
1 x nail paintpot, 1 x caviar pearls, 1 x tray & 1 x mini funnel.

How to apply:-
Work on one nail at a time and apply two coats of the enclosed Ciaté Paint Pot shade.

Place your finger over the tray and sprinkle Caviar pearls over your painted nail ensuring you do this whilst the nails are still wet.

Once fully covered, gently press and compact the Caviar pearls into your nail bed to ensure durability.

Place the mini funnel into the Caviar pearls bottle and tilt the tray over the funnel to pour in your precious beads.

Once finished, leave your nails to completely dry for 15 to 20 minutes.

Voila! You now have perfectly Caviar manicured nails.

To Remove: Easily comes off with regular nail polish remover.
Full Directions can be found inside packaging.

My Beauty Essentials

Firstly, apologies for not updating my blog for a few weeks now, I have been unwell :-( but now I'm back on the mend and can get back onto the fashion blogging!

So today, a little treat from Selfridges arrived for me ~ my clearly mac trio make-up bags and my Nars Orgasm blusher and Turkish Delight lipgloss!

I have been reading about the Nars Orgasm blush for a while now and after hearing of it being the"ultimate authority in blush" and being "the industry's most iconic shade for cheeks", I had to try it for myself.
As with the Orgasm blush, I heard great reviews about the Turkish Delight Lipgloss, even heard it was Kim Kardashians must have lipgloss....(and I'm a big fan of the Kardashian's look) so thought I'd try out this pretty punchy peach shade.
As my pretty packaged make-up only arrived today, I haven't yet had a chance to try it out but as soon as I do, I will post an updated on it.

Also pictured is one of my new make-up bags with my make-up essentials of:-

HD Brows Pallette in Vamp
Bobbi Brown Bronzer in Golden Light
Bobbi Brown Blusher in Pink Coral (gives a nice flush of colour with a hint of sparkle)
Bobbi Brown Lipstick in Bikini Pink (nude/pinky shade)
Mac Lipgloss in Underage & Florabundance (neutral / nude shades)
Mac Lipstick in Lady Danger (vibrant bright red)
Mac Wonder Woman limited edition Mascara
YSL Mascara
YSL Touche Eclat Highlighter
Barry M Lipgloss in Milkshake (a pretty pink shade that won't break the bank)

I'm also inheriting my Mums collection of new Chanel make-up brushes so they will be perfect to use with all my new make-up kit!

I like more of a natural make-up look so like either a slightly bronzed face with a pinky/nude cheek and lip and mascara or going for more of a vibrant red lip.

I'm going to test out the new Nars tinted moisturizer at some point too as hear that since launching it's proving to be a hit! With so many shades to pick, I figure going into the make-up counter to have the artist select and test the best shade would be the best thing to do.

New in.....J Brand's Neon Jean collection

J Brand's "brights" collection of jeans went down a storm so i'm sure this new "neon" collection of skinnies will be a hit too. I think whats nice about this collection is this neon tone is subtle and not garish.
If you want a piece of the neon collection then get a pair now from selfridges.com
These jeans will set you back a cool £225 so if you would rather save than splurge head into Topshop where you will find similar styles at around £40

Christmas Shopping in London

I'm just back from a fun trip to London with my family. London was cold, well, not as cold as the Scottish weather :-), but I was prepared and well wrapped up in my gorgeous new Zara coat, my new boots and my cosy green pashmina scarf (I got the Pashmina scarf on holiday in Bulgaria in June for £10 and I love it so much, I wish I had got more of them)!

I never really took alot of pictures on my trip but did take a few snaps of the stunning winter wonderland window display's of the famous Selfridges & Co store:-

I love looking at all the shop window displays when they are dressed for christmas time - just gorgeous!

As you can see from the bags, I did not bad with my shopping purchases in London too! I always see different things in the stores in London that I see here in Glasgow so it's always nice to get some unique things when you see them!

Birmingham.... here we come!

This weekend i'm off to Birmingham! I'm heading to the world famous Bullring shopping centre for a spot of retail therapy and on sunday heading to the Classic Car Show at the N.E.C.

Shopping and checking out beautiful classic cars............... I can't wait!!

Last year my dad, brother and granda all went to the car show and they all loved it.
My brother met Edd China (guy from the t.v show wheeler dealer), my granda took a picture of my brother and Edd, well he thought he was taking the picture! When my brother checked out the picture, Edd's head was missing from it! I think he is super tall :-)
Oh well, if we see him again this year I'll make sure to get his head in the picture this time!!

The Satchel bag........ where Sensible meets Stylish

When in Selfridges, London whilst wandering about looking at all the pretty things, my eye was drawn to the Neon Orange leather satchel bag by The Cambridge Satchel Co.
If you haven't seen these trendy bags yet then check out their website: http://www.cambridgesatchel.co.uk/shop

I will never forget my first day at school, and more importantly, my leather satchel bag. It was royal blue, red and yellow and I just loved it!

I'm so so tempted to get one of these bags. I love the "Batchel" which is simply a "Satchel" but has an extra top handle so it will give a more versatile look. I'm torn between the many colours of these bags, I do think a neon colour will be fun, great in the summertime and will inject a pop of colour into my darker autumn look so I'm drawn towards the fluro yellow or pink? Oh, decisions decisions!

A fun filled trip to London

My birthday trip to London last week was brilliant! I had 3 full days & 2 nights to shop & explore the wonders of London.

I took some snaps when I was out and about (pics are not great as was taken with my I-phone)!

Eating Out:

First stop - Cafe Rouge for a yummy breakfast

Guerilla Burgers - The best burger Joint (so good, we went twice!)

mmm, the best treat from my mum. Chocolate covered strawberries from Selfridges foodhall

Vintage Shopping:

I love anything from highstreet to designer to vintage and boy did I have the best time hunting through just some of London's many amazing vintage stores.

(I was so impressed to see the fashion wallpaper I have in my dressing closet in a vintage store. I love these bowler and top hat lights!!)

Notting Hill:

I love Notting Hill. It's such a cool place to wander around. I was dissapointed I missed the Portobello Road market though when I was there, I went on Thursday and it finished at 1pm so I missed it :-(
I love fashion magazines and need my monthly Vogue Fix. My mum was going into a small newsagents in Notting Hill to buy some sweets and when I wondered in behind her I couldn't believe my eyes................I have never seen as great a selection of fashion Magazines in the one place!! I ended up having to be guided out of the shop by my mum having stood in awe for ages gazing at all the magazines! I did get an Italian, Paris and Spanish Vogue though, all August issues which I will keep  to rememeber my 30th Birthday.

One of the most thoughtfull gifts I got for my birthday was a vintage Vogue magazine from the year I was born! My dad & my brother went away to hunt for this whilst me and my mum spent the day trying on wedding dresses! What a lovely and special gift that was!

Desginer & High Street boutiques:

Bond Street, what can I say. It's just magical! Being on 'wedding mode' I resisted the calls from the designer bags and shoes! I did treat myself to another Alexander McQueen skull scarf which is in a nice chocolate brown with sage green skulls so it's perfect for the winter months.

High Street - I got two cute dresses (one is an Aztec print mini dress that's patterend with nice chestnut brown, cream and black shades and the other is a body-con style dress in a vinrant mustard yellow!) & jewellery from the Forever 21 store on Oxford Street, this store was amazing. It was like Topshop & H&M rolled into one. If you have't already been in, then get in there now!

As well as my birthday gifts my brother had already got me (the stripe Bella Freud Jumper and Alexander McQueen ring) he treated me to a pair of gorgeous black lace-up ankle boots from Selfridges ..... I have the best brother :-)

Quirky London:

When you are wandering about London you see some wacky and wonderful things!

Selfridges & Co  - by far had the best window displays. Each theme was totally unique, fun, colourful and made you stop and stare.

Halcyon Gallery

Amazing tiny photographic images on the floor in Selfridges. These were made up from these quirky, retro looking Lomography cameras. The cameras were as light as a feather and available in all different fun designs (a great christmas idea).
Check out  their website:-

Bridal Boutiques:

Well, when I was in London I tried on some wedding dresses which was great fun!
After falling in love with a wedding dress on a website, when I tried it on I was told my face fell with dissapointment :-( Not to worry as after more searching, I found my dress!!!
I have to admit I was feeling pretty nervous about trying dresses on, but I had a lovely time with my mum that day. It just goes to show how you think you have found the perfect dress then when you put it on it can look totally different. I can only describe the feeling as feeling deflated when I put on what I thought was the perfect dress and looked in the mirror.

I decided I wanted to look for my dress in London as opposed to Glasgow as felt I would see something totally unique and different from here and I did just that! Now all I need is to find the perfect Louboutins to wear with the dress.
What's great is me and my best pal / Maid of Honor Gillian get to fly down to London again soon to shop for my shoes and all the bits and bobs, yippeeaa! Any excuse for a trip down to Bond Street!!

Cannot wait for my next shopping trip to London. Already have on my shopping list these gorgeous black Louboutin shoes I saw last week and some very special accessories from McQueen that I fell in love with! Perfect way to spend my birthday money :-)
