New York, New York

Recently I have been thinking about different honeymoon destinations for after my wedding.
My partner Alan and I like the idea of going to New York for a city break after our big day. I have never been to NYC and Alan has only been when he was a wee boy so we thought it would be nice for me to experience the big Apple for the first time and for him to go back as an adult who can appreciate it more.

We like the idea of New York as it really has something for everyone. Being able to explore the city doing the fun touristy things, have lunch in Central Park and of course & shop till we drop....(well perhaps I should say "shop till I drop")! Alans not much of a shopper, his idea of shopping is to go a twice a year for a splurge where as I like to shop all throughout the year picking up different bits and pieces as I go. In saying that, i'm sure with New York on the cards, he'd be happy to shop and see what unusual things he can pick up.

So now, the research begins as I really do not have a clue where in NYC is best to stay. Looking for somewhere nice that's close to the good shopping areas...................if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

Meet Penelope and Coco

Penelope and Coco dalmation print booties

Penelope and Coco studded Oxfords

Penelope and Coco pumps
Kourtney Kardashian wearing the dalmation print booties

Penelope and Coco brings you these quirky handmade shoes from Los Angeles.

I love the black lace-up oxfords with the silver pyramid studded hardware on the back. I'd wear these with paperbag high-waisted trousers, a tank top and some chunky silver accessories.

This season, black and white dalmation print is taking over from the leopard print so these black and white suede dalmation print ankle booties will fit right in this autumn/winter. These will look stunning with your jeans by day and a little black dress by night!

A different kind of shopping

Today me and my mum went for a different kind of retail therapy ......we went shopping for baby gifts for my friends baby girl.
What can I say, we had great fun as there was so much gorgeous things to choose from!!
I finally picked a pink and white striped sleepsuit with matching hat, a white and lilac spotty sleepsuit set with hat, socks and bib, a Calvin Klein sleepsuit with matching socks and hat, a trendy white and purple zigzag design sleepsuit and 2 pairs of Paul Frank shoes to set all the outfits off!

My mum also picked up some lovely baby things too so that should be a good start for them.

Well, that's me now wrapped everything up in lovely baby girl wrapping paper ready for when baby makes her apperance into the big wide world in the next few days, so so exciting!

Meet The Style Stalker Youth Brigade Jacket....

Credit: Style Stalker

Right now, i'm wearing my structured shoulder Zara blazer to death! I love to wear it with my faithful Current Elliott or J Brand jeans and a simple t-shirt or vest top for a smart-casual daytime look.

I've been searching the internet for another structured shoulder blazer and so far have not seen anything i'd want to rush out and buy. Tonight, I did however come across this cute structured shouldered jacket by Australian brand Style Stalker. I love the cut-out detailing to the back and on the cuffs of this jacket.

The Puddle Train gown

I went along to the wedding show at the SECC, Glasgow yesterday.
As I already have all the main things for my wedding booked and it's just little last minute bits and pieces I have left to organize that it was nice just to have a relaxing wander round all the stands looking for any inspiration.

One thing that did catch my eye was this stunning beaded gown with the puddle train (ohh, I love the puddle train!!)The pictures just don't do this gown justice, it really was beautiful. To look at it you would think it would be heavy being covered with sequins and jewels but it was actually pretty light and floaty!
I already have my beautiful wedding dress so I was thinking this gown may be nice for my bridal shower? I'm thinking about renting out this amazing country house for a night and inviting all my close female family and friends along for a "old Hollywood Glamour" themed dinner and cocktail night!

I have ages to find the perfect bridal shower gown so this gown can be my first contender!

It's the accessories that make it

Being honest, looking at this lace and taffeta mix dress by Alice & Oliva, It doesn't scream "rush out and buy me" however, add some fabulous accessories like Kourtney Kardashian did when wearing this dress and you look at it and think, "ohh, what a cute look"!

Celebrating 20 years of Christian Louboutin

To celebrate 20 years of Christian Louboutin's iconic designs,he has gone back to the drawing board and created these collector edition Daffodile pumps.
These one of a kind heels with their hand finished embellishments will be on every collectors wish list.

These shoes would be too high for me to walk in although if I had the money I think they would look fantastic to display as an iconic statement piece in my house! I say out with the candles and photo frames and in with iconic fashion pieces instead!

Today's Look I love

I love the classic parka style jacket over the glossy jeans and statement heels, it's trendy at it's best but without looking too overdone.

A perfect Saturday

I had the best day today!
This morning I had my first consultation appointment with my florist for my wedding flowers. The flowers are all just stunning and it was so so hard to decide which ones to go for!

Afterwards I went for a yummy lunch then wandered around the vintage shops on Byres Road in Glasgow. Saw loads of cool things today but the one thing that really caught my eye was a vintage cream panama hat (If it was cheaper than £35 I would have got it)!....wedding to save for now and all that!

Today, I also came across a nice wedding accessory boutique called Melle Cloche. It was a small boutique packed with stunning wedding jewels, veils, shoes and underwear. I'll be popping back for another look soon!

I love these looks from Australian Brand Bec & Bridge. I especially love the printed maxi skirt. Wear this skirt with a simple tank top, pretty sandals and boho style beach waves in your hair and you are good to go!
