A new toy for my blog

So, I've been doing my blog now for about a year and after borrowing my parents digital camera or using my I-phone the time has now come for me to invest in a good camera.
I hear that the camera to have is a digital SLR, however with so many different makes and models the question is, which one do I go for?

I've started my research and so far both Canon and Nikon seem to be the two main makes of SLR's recommended by fellow fashion bloggers so at least I now have a starting point!

I'll continue my research and once i've narrowed it down to a few of the best models, i'll check them out in store so I can have a play about with them and see which one best suits my needs for my blog. 

I cannot wait to get snapping with my new camera once I find the ideal one!!

The Satchel bag........ where Sensible meets Stylish

When in Selfridges, London whilst wandering about looking at all the pretty things, my eye was drawn to the Neon Orange leather satchel bag by The Cambridge Satchel Co.

I will never forget my first day at school, and more importantly, my leather satchel bag. It was royal blue, red and yellow and I just loved it!


I'm so so tempted to get one of these bags. I love the "Batchel" which is simply a "Satchel" but has an extra top handle so it will give a more versatile look. I'm torn between the many colours of these bags, I do think a neon colour will be fun, great in the summertime and will inject a pop of colour into my darker autumn look so I'm drawn towards the fluro yellow or pink? Oh, decisions decisions!

Going for Gold

Back in my teenager days I was more of a silver jewellery person than gold. Over the years my taste has changed and now i'd say I rarely wear silver. 

Nowadays I prefer vintage / costume jewellery or modern one-off pieces.

Kim Kardashian's Wedding

Tomorrow sees the wedding of the gorgeous Kim Kardashian
I love the Kardashians so cannot wait to see the wedding when it's being shown on E in a few weeks time.


Kim has confirmed that Vera Wang has designed her wedding dress and that Christian Louboutin has designed her wedding shoes. I'm sure she will look as stunning as ever!


I'm currently on wedding mode too and have managed in just 2 weeks to get my venue booked (a stunning Scottish Castle), and my dress ordered and have started ordering some of my table accessories like the place name cards and ribbons etc so bit by bit I am getting things ticked off my long wedding planning list! My wedding will be on Saturday 10th November 2012 (10-11-12 - a great date to remember!) so I have loads of time to enjoy planning everything and hope that doing a bit at a time will make it as stress-free as it can be!


I'm not having a theme as such for my wedding but I'm thinking "Old Hollywood Glamour"
I didn't want to pick a colour of the moment which may mean that down the line I regret my choices so have decided to keep everything classic and timeless and go for black and white. I think my bridesmaids will look stunning in a gorgeous black dress (they would look blooming great wearing a binbag, although I wouldn't be cruel to put them in that haha)! My guests can wear whatever they wish so they can go all out with the colours but for my tableware and accessories I'm sticking to black and white.


I'm thinking about doing a car boot sale on Sunday so I can start a Louboutin wedding shoe fund! I have bags and bags full of unworn and unwanted things so figure what a great way to have a clear out and make some money in the process.

The Suede colour block dress

Tonight is the first time I've looked on the ASOS.COM website in ages. I was searching for a pretty pink dress and came across this gorgeous suede colour block dress that's on sale for £45. 
My size is sold out but hopefully if I keep looking they might get more in!

Glasgow's transformation to the streets of Philadelphia

I have to walk across George Square, Glasgow to get to and from work each day and I must say i'm loving seeing the place transform for the Brad Pitt Zombie Film!

I feel like a bit of a tourist in my home town stopping taking lots of pictures with my I-phone! Take a look at some of them:-

Jeffrey Campbell Lita ankle boots

I had been searching for a nice pair of black ankle boots for ages and my internet search kept flagging up the "Lita" ankle boot by Jeffrey Campbell. At first glance these boots scared me, the platform and heel looked huge, and for someone who's a bit like bambie on ice in heels I hesitated on wether I would break my neck wearing these or not!

After reading many of the helpful feedback reviews on these boots on the SoleStruck website, I found that around 95% of people thought that these boots were extremley comfortable and most people even talked about purchasing a second pair of the boots (a good sign of a great boot)!

Knowing that these boots were actually not only stylish but comfortable too and seeing the beautiful Jessica Alba and Kendall Jenner strutting around looking gorgeous in these boots I had decided I had to try a pair for myself. Whilst in Selfridges & Co in London 2 weeks ago, I saw the boots, tried them and instantly fell for them, (fell for them, not fell in them!!) 

I wore my boots for the first time out on the town last night, and I loved them! My feet did not hurt at all and it was great being the same height as my Fiancee for a night too!! I have to admit that I too was thinking "oh what colour should I got for next" :-)
