Birthday Wish
These Pigalle 120 Python Christian Louboutin pumps are on my birthday wishlist.
I think if I make it down to London for my birthday weekend trip, I will just have to treat myself to these beauties....................I love them!!!
I haven't posted in a while. To cut a long story short, I took a severe reaction to my first chemo treatment the other week and ever since have been really unwell. Today is the first day I've felt up to getting on the computer so hopefully as each day goes by, I will feel better :-)
I knew chemo was not going to be easy.......but didn't expect it to be this hard. I know this is a fight I have to try to stay strong for and I will give it all I can to try to beat this cancer.
I have the best friends and family, who have all been such an amazing support to me already, so thank you to them all.
Now, back to dreaming of these stunning, classic Louboutin shoes..........you will be mine!!

I must confess, I am addicted to Zara!! Hands down, it has to be my favourite high street store.
Anytime I go into Zara, without fail, I'll see loads of things love and take the maximum amount I can into the changing room. To be fair mind you, sometimes the things I love, I don't love so much on as I thought I did seeing it on the hanger.
Above is some of my latest Zara purchases. I'm not afraid of colour and have a closet full of brights, neons.... the whole colour spectrum, but lately I've been more attracted to buying neutral, capsule collection pieces that I can mix and match.
The only thing I don't like about Zara is that sometimes new things will sell out fast and not come back in stock, for example, I've been after a pair of high-waisted white shorts with gold zips and have been hunting for them for weeks now but can never find them! A kind store assistant, wrote the code down for me so now it's a case of a daily check on the website to see if they appear again.
Today, I saw a beautiful lime green suede over-sized clutch bag but there was only one and it was marked. I went to order it online and they only have it in yellow or blue so this is another thing I need to keep hunting for!
Remember these Louis Vuitton pumps with the metal covered toe detail?

Abbey Clancy wearing Louis Vuitton 2012 |
Check out these almost identical Zara beauties:-
These shoes are simply stunning! They are the like a pale blush pink shade and feel like soft suede and cost £49.99 but they sold out almost immediately! Love these, perfect and classic!
I'm looking forward to wearing all my new stuff and teaming the neutrals with pops of colour like my neon yellow Cambridge Co Satchel or my bright blue J Brand skinny jeans etc
Happy shopping xx

The Celine Cabas tote is on my wishlist. I love the fact that this tote is so simple, classic and makes the perfect timeless piece.
When i'm in London next month as well as shoes, i'm going to be looking for a nice new bag and the Cabas is one of the bags on my list to check out.
A few months ago, I found a chocolate brown Celine Cabas tote in TKMaxx in Glasgow. I thought I had struck gold when I found the bag under a pile of clothes but on closer inspection the bag wasn't in prestine condition and at around £400, it wasn't worth it :-(
Supermodel Miranda Kerr always looks so stylish and she carries the Cabas tote so well!

My Weekend
I had such a great weekend! It started off with a nice dinner and after work drinks on friday then a fun day trip with my partner and my mum and dad yesterday, and today, I spent the day playing with the dog and enjoying the sunshine in the garden.
Here are some of the interesting things I saw and bought on my day trip to Edinburgh and North Berwick yesterday:-
This vintage leather bucket bag has to be my best bargain for 2012 so far as I got it for only £1......YES £1!!!!!! in a charity shop in Portobello, Edinburgh, I love a good bargain.
In the lovely seaside town of North Berwick is one of my fave little boutiques called "Madame Butterfly". A visit to Madame Butterfly for me, is like a treasure hunt. The boutique is packed full of beautiful interiors and accessories for your home and also dotted around, you will find some gorgeous clothing accessories, vintage pieces and jewels.
I often pick up either some vintage pieces or something for my house when I visit as I love to get something special and something that I wouldn't find back in Glasgow.
My last visit was a few months back and I remember falling in love with a cape that the stylish owner was wearing, although to my dissapointment the cape was something she had picked up on her travels so wasn't available to buy :-(
Yesterday, on my visit to the boutique I was delighted to see the owner had picked up a couple of the beautiful capes on her travels to sell in the store!! After trying both capes on, I opted for the cape with the lovely browns, greens and gold tones as opposed to the lighter blue and cream shade cape which didn't seem to compliment my dark hair, dark eyes colourings as much. The cape was bought in Oman and is made from a silk-cashmere mix with a faux-fur collar trim and faux-fur trim baubles and it is just stunning on. It's the perfect accessory that will keep me warm in the colder days and keep my skin cool in the summer sun. Apart from seeing the owner wearing her cape, I haven't yet seen anyone wearing this so it makes me love it all the more.
.............So much for not buying anything and saving for London next month!!
As well as my fashion, I love cars, especially vintage cars so when I saw this car, I had to get a few pictures! The vintage car is a Jowett, and the only reason I know this is that the owners had displayed this interesting notice about the car!
All in all, with good company, the first day of sunshine and warmer weather for 2012, nice places to visit, and a finding few lovely accessories to add to my collection, I had a great weekend!

Window Dressing
I love this new window display in the Cruise Clothing boutique in Glasgow. It's not so much the clothing that I love, it's the props that I think are just spot on. If I had a house big enough for putting the big vintage flip display board, I would as it's really cool and would make a fab statement piece in a lovely big house! I think big, vintage trunks are also perfect for storing your accessories in your bedroom or dressing room. The more old and tatty the trunk, the better it is as it tells you a story that it's been well used and well travelled!
I'm not afraid of technology, I mean I love my iphone and use my laptop daily but certain things I think feel better the old fashioned way, like, my daily commute to the train station would be more interesting with big old fashioned flip boards instead of the electronic boards and watching people lugging around well used trunk luggage covered with stickers for all the countries they have visited instead of the typical bland black trolley case!
I guess I'm a girl who likes and appreciates both the vintage and the new, which really isn't a bad thing!!

And so the search begins..........
So tomorrow i'm shopping for bridesmaid dresses for my two beautiful bridesmaids to wear to my wedding later this year. I have a good idea of the style / colour i'm looking for so that's half the battle! As well as my bridesmaids, Gemma and Gillian, my mum and my mum-in-law to be, are out for the day and will go for a lovely lunch so it should be a fun day for us all!

Bring on Pay Day!
Why does January payday feel like it's never going to come?! After all the expense over Christmas & New Year it can't come quick enough!
Anyway, when it does eventually arrive these are a few things I will be treating myself too:-
Just before New Year I got my HD Brows done at the salon. I'm so pleased with the results although it will take a few sessions for my Brows to be perfect. During my treatment, the beautician used the HD Brows palette to fill in any gaps in my brows.
I think to keep up the perfectly groomed "fresh out the salon" look I need to invest in this palette. At under £20 it's good value and you can also use this for creating a smokey eye too!
I love hats and have been searching for the perfect panama hat for wearing on my honeymoon this year. Today I came across this lovely panama hat by Sensi Studio. The simple thing I like best about this hat is the bright pop of neon yellow ribbon contrasting against the neutral hat. This will keep my head protected from the sun and will look fab with my new bikini's on the beach.
This hat is available from Matchesfashion.com and is also available with a bright pink ribbon too.
By night, this Topshop chiffon placket shirt will look great tucked into either a leather pencil skirt or over leather-look leggings and by day look gorgeous over a pair of denim cut-off shorts. Be aware, this shirt runs large to size so you may wish to go a size or two down than normal.
Bring on pay day!!!

Leather Look Leggings
These leather look leggings I got from Zara last week are amazing.
These are brilliant value at only £25.99! They are pull-on stretch leggings that feature an inside ankle zip. Look gorgeous this winter with either a cute, glitzy top or a cosy over-sized chunky knit jumper and some heels.
If you love these then get them quick, in the past week they have sold out online twice!!
These Zara leggings are near identical to these leather leggings from Helmut Lang, only difference is the Helmut Lang leggings are real leather and they will set you back a cool £600!!

My adventure at Sloans Market, Glasgow
I thought i'd let you know how my experience at Sloans Market in Glasgow yesterday went.
Overall I had a fun day! It started of pretty slow with not many people visiting the market but towards the afternoon the stall was busy. My vintage pieces seemed to go down the best, with there being not as much insterest in my past season high street collections. At least I know for next time what stock to take more of!! I also think that next time hanging rails for my clothes would work better for people to browse through.
The pictures above are taken with my iphone so not great! Our stall was also really dark as the market stall had problems with putting up the lights which was a shame as the lights would have set the stalls off well!
I have to say, the main attraction on my stall was my vintage leather bag, If I had a £1 for the times someone had picked it up!! A lovely student from Sweden bought the bag in the end! Some other great pieces from my collection that sold was my vintage oversized beaded top (perfect with jeans), My vintage leather Harrods business card holder that came in the design of a miniture suitcase (a gorgeous collectors item) and also my vintage Vivienne Westwood perfume case set amongst lots of other bits and pieces so I'm really chuffed with how the day went after such a slow start to the day!
On reflection to the day, I think the market really doesn't get alot of passing traffic because people still don't know it exists. I have worked in Glasgow for many years and I'm in shopping regularly and particularly in Zara which is right next to the market and I still never knew it was there! Perhaps if I'm doing another stall, I'll make up some flyer's to hand out to people on the high street so they can come along and check out the stalls because it is a shame for people to miss it!
