Glasgow Gets ready for Christmas

YSL Gold pumps......just gorgeous!

My daily walk to and from the train station for work each day is so much more enjoyable when I get to walk by all the stores getting ready for christmas! I love to see the twinkly lights, gorgeous green christmas trees and most of all I get to gaze into the pretty window displays.

The thing that caught my eye this-morning was a pait of stunning gold Yves Saint Laurent shoes hanging from the window display of Cruise Clothing, ahhh!

I was also happy to see a Vintage Pop up store has opened up around from George Square in Glasgow. The store is called "We love to boogie Vintage" and will be around until New Year's eve. I had a quick look in at lunchtime and although it's not jam packed full of stock like Mr Ben's Vintage at St Enoch's, Glasgow, there is still some pretty cool finds so worth a look!

On the subject of shopping, I was in Zara the other day and they have lots of stunning things in store just now. I treated myself to a few pretty things to wear during the festive season but on the whole i'm trying to be good and to save my shopping spree for when I'm in London for a few days in the next few weeks (I always think you find different things in London from in Glasgow)!

Happy Christmas Shopping everyone!

Alexander Wang Rocco

Alexander Wang Rocco

Pale Gold hardware

Okay, so I know this bag was so last year but last year I really wanted an Alexander Wang Rocco bag but never ever got one. Last night I came across an image I had saved of the bag (i'm a big fan of ripping out things from magazines that I like!!) and it's got me thinking about this bag again.

I'm looking for a nice classic black bag that I can use everyday. I like the simplicity of the design of this bag and love the edgy biker feel that the studs give. This bag is such a cool statement piece that I don't think you would ever get sick of.

Check out some other people who Rocked the Rocco:-

Model look

Ashley Olsen

Vanessa White - I love this pink blazer from Zara too!

Alex Gerrard

Alex Gerrard

Natalie Massenet - well, if the Rocco is good enough for the woman who brought us the amazing Net-a-Porter.......need I say more!

I love the end image with the leather jeans, simple t-shirt, classic blazer and the Rocco bag - this is the look i'd love to re-create!

The Rocco is avaiable in various shades, all of which are equally gorgeous! For me,  I'm thinking the classic black as it will go with everything!!

Hmm, i'll be keeping an eye out for this bag in the January sales!

Jeffrey Campbell Lita does Neon

Neon Yellow

Neon Pink

Neon Orange

Neon Purple

Meet the new neon collection of Jeffrey Campbell Lita's. I currently own two pairs of Lita's (black leather and beige suede pair) and I love them. Like the hundreds of reviews on the Solestruck website say, these really are cute, stylish and super comfy ankle boots.
Looking at them, you would think they would be really heavy but these are honestly as light as a feather!
Don't think i'll be investing in any of the neon ones but I am on the look out for a cute pair for wearing in the summertime. I do quite like the Stars and Stripes Litas!

Stars and Stripes Lita's, cute with rolled-up jeans, summer shorts and cute dresses!

Karl Lagerfeld

The Karl Lagerfeld for Sephora beauty collections have arrived and are set to be a big sell out for christmas. I am fan of Karl Lagerfeld's designs however I won't be ordering any of these pieces (I honestly wouldn't use them and have enough things I've bought over the years classing them as "collectors" pieces). These are pretty cool christmas gifts for your fashionista friends though!

Walking in Wolford

I have to say, when I left school (many years ago now), the thing I loved most was not having to wear the horrible school tights again! I really did hate wearing tights, total opposite to my mum who would wear a pair in every design / shade under the sun!

I'm still not a huge tights fan but every now and then a nice design will catch my eye. 2 years ago  it was the Henry Holland Suspender print tights I fell for then last season it was the Wolford Bondage design tights, and tonight, it's these "Cheryl" Houndstooth Wolford patterend tights I love (only in the Sahara/black shade).

So, one pair of Wolford "Cheryl" houndstooth print tights in the Sahara/black shade on my wish list!!!

Pale and Interesting

Ksubi Jeans

Pencey Tank

Alexander Wang Wallet

Giuseppe Zanotti wedges

CC Skye bracelet

Gorjana Laurel hoops

Chanel pop pink lips

Preen blazer

I'm currently in love with my J Brand bright jeans (robin red and royal blue) and my J brand Houlihans in the khaki / olive shades but feel like I need to give these jeans a rest for a while and try a new style. I saw these Ksubi jeans on Shopbop this-evening and love them! I love the pale/bleached wash of these jeans as think they will work so well contrasting against bright toned tops.

I know we have not yet seen the start of the cold winter weather but I can't help thinking summer, beach, sand, sea and waves when I look at these jeans! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the winter months especially when I am all wrapped up walking through the fresh snow with my dog but at the same time I love the summertime when I can dig out my pretty floaty tank tops, my shades and gladiator sandals.

I've picked the bright pink Preen blazer as it acts as the perfect contrast piece against the subtle toned jeans. This blazer would look gorgeous with all your jeans, cut-off shorts in the summertime, and would look especially stunning over a little black dress.

I'm off for a festive trip to London in the next few weeks and I know Selfridges stock these jeans so will be sure to check them out and see if they are as nice on as they look online and if they are then they will be my first purchase for my SS12 capsule wardrobe!

Sport Luxe

Topshop 'Athletic' boots in tan £75

Topshop 'Athletic' boots in Navy £75

Chloe boots £285

Okay I have to admit  it was actually my fiancee that pointed these "Athletic" wedge ankle boots  out to me in Topshop and encouraged me to try them on (this by the way, is the man that only goes shopping  a handful of times a year)! Anyway, as soon as I tried these on, I loved them. These boots are so so comfy and with the soft buttery leather on the outside and cushioned suede in the inside they are really well made for the £75 price tag.

The "Athletic" boots are available in tan, navy and black and are selling out fast on Topshop.com so if you want a pair, get them now! I cannot stress just how comfy and stylish these boots are on, if you don't believe me, try them on for yourself.

If you are looking for more of a splurge with the desinger option, then the Chloe wedge ankle boots (pictured above) may be just for you. These boots will set you back a cool £285.

Love this trend!

Fun at the Classic Car Show

I was in Birmingham at the weekend for the Classic Car Show at the NEC. I spent hours looking around all the beautiful cars. From the brand new to the vintage classics, the show had it all!

If you are into your cars, then I would highly recommend going along to the show if it's on next year. I'd also recommend staying in the Premier Inn hotel at the NEC, as it was really handy for getting to the halls, ideal for getting the train into the centre of Birminham (for the shopping) and the food was great too :-)

As well as checking out the cars, I spent a few hours in the centre of Birmingham in the Bullring shopping centre which was great. We didn't arrive until early afternoon so the shopping centre was so so busy!  I tried on some gorgeous boots in Topshop although they didn't have my size in store :-(   My fab wee mum ended up ordering me them online for part of my christmas (thanks mum!!). My big parcel arrived from Topshop tonight and to my surprise my mum bought me two pairs of boots, spoiled as usual by my mum!
