Mary Katrantzou for Topshop
On friday this week, Topshop will be launching the highly anticipated Mary Katrantzou collection. I've already fallen for the above dress that was worn at the 2012 ELLE style awards by model Poppy Delevingne. The dress will set you back a designer price tag of £350 but with the beautiful mixed print and lampshade structured bottom I think it will be worth every penny!
If you are after a piece from this cool collection, you had better be online early on friday before its all gone!!

New in.....J Brand's Neon Jean collection
J Brand's "brights" collection of jeans went down a storm so i'm sure this new "neon" collection of skinnies will be a hit too. I think whats nice about this collection is this neon tone is subtle and not garish.
If you want a piece of the neon collection then get a pair now from selfridges.com
These jeans will set you back a cool £225 so if you would rather save than splurge head into Topshop where you will find similar styles at around £40

......and now the search is over
So, today I went shopping for dresses for my bridesmaids and after a long, but fun day......we found the perfect dresses! Both of my bridesmaids looked stunning in every dress they tried on so my head was starting to hurt with the stress of what style to pick! When they tried on which seems like the 10th dress, we all knew it was the perfect one for them. I cannot wait to see them walk down the aisle in them.
That's another big thing ticked off my wedding list so i'm really pleased.
Mid-way through dress shopping we had lunch at The Grill on the Corner in Glasgow which was delicious! If you haven't been, I would suggest you pop in. They have a great menu with a good selection of yummy dishes.
The only downside of the day was I had my new (gorgeous) wedged ankle boots from Topshop on and being on my feet all day in high wedges was a big mistake. My party feet gel inserts didn't seem to work so I ended up having to hobble into Primark to buy a pair of flats to get me back to the train station! All was not lost as I got a cute pair of Vivienne Westwood inspired welly ankle boots (black patent with a silver glittery bow on the front) for £10 as opposed to the designer price of £70+ .........happy days!!
Note to self: when shopping with my fiancee for his kilt to wear flat shoes and NOT heels!!!

Chloe boots £285 |
Okay I have to admit it was actually my fiancee that pointed these "Athletic" wedge ankle boots out to me in Topshop and encouraged me to try them on (this by the way, is the man that only goes shopping a handful of times a year)! Anyway, as soon as I tried these on, I loved them. These boots are so so comfy and with the soft buttery leather on the outside and cushioned suede in the inside they are really well made for the £75 price tag.
The "Athletic" boots are available in tan, navy and black and are selling out fast on Topshop.com so if you want a pair, get them now! I cannot stress just how comfy and stylish these boots are on, if you don't believe me, try them on for yourself.
If you are looking for more of a splurge with the desinger option, then the Chloe wedge ankle boots (pictured above) may be just for you. These boots will set you back a cool £285.
Love this trend!

Smoking Slippers
The seasons new shoe trend says hello to the smoking slippers.
These comfortable and dare I say it stylish flats are taking the high street by storm with the studded 'Vectra' slipper loafers from Topshop selling out within hours of going online!
I had a wander over to Topshop at lunchtime today to check them out as wanted to see what all the fuss was about over the studded 'Vectra' flats however they were no where to be seen. I did try on the black glitter version and I have to agree, they are comfy and cute and at £20 they are not to be laughed at!

The Biker Boot is a current must have. These boots will act as the staple accessory to your collection and will work with your pretty dresses and cut-off shorts in the summer and your faithful jeans or leggings for the winter.
I like both the Topshop buckle biker and the Zara studded biker boots that are out in the high street stores now. So as not to have a repeat of last year, when I was sliding around in the ice with non-gripped boots, I have my Jimmy Choo Hunters at the ready for the snow and plan on investing in a pair of either the Topshop or Zara biker boots (both of which have great rubber gripped soles).

Topshop Personal Shopping Launch in Glasgow
I've just got back from attending the Topshop personal shopping launch event in Glasgow and what a fun filled night me and my best pal Gillian had!
On arrival we were welcomed with Cocktails & Champagne which we thoroughly enjoyed whilst wandering around the store to check out what gorgeous pieces they had in. We then watched the catwalk show where the stunning models showcased the current must-have trends.
After getting some inspiration from the catwalk collection and armed with a 15% discount for purchases on the night, we hit the rails.
With a Trip to London, the Fashionistas paradise, I was very good and only purchased one top (i'm trying hard to save my pennies for London in the hope of finding some unique gems). Gillian however, got some amazing things tonight including a stunning vibrant coral maxi skirt and a vintaged feel floral crop bra top. Gillian must have been a stylist in a previous life as boy is she on the ball and is great at throwing amazing looks together!
Our mission one day is to set up our own fashion business together where we can put our passions and talents to work!
Anyway, overall the night was a great night and we would strongly recommend booking in with the personal shoppers. Wether you are looking for a complete overhaul to your current look or are simply stuck for the perfect outfit idea for an up and coming party then book an appointment with the Stylists, they really do know there stuff!!
Enjoy x

Jeans, Jeans, Jeans
A challange most of us have is finding the perfect pair of jeans (well a challange for most of us except from those lucky people who can throw on anything and fall under the saying "they'd look good in a bin-bag")
Bootcut jeans, Skinny Jeans, Flared Jeans, High-Waisted Jeans, Straight-leg Jeans...... the list goes on, and with so many different styles, brands, sizings you could take forever to find your perfect pair of Jeans.
Thankfully nowadays, most designers inform you of the sizings and will state wether they styles run true to size or wether to go up or down a size so it does make it alot easier when searching for your ideal jeans.
I've decided to focus this post on looking at Topshop's jeans and size guides, as Topshop probably is alot of peoples number one choice in the High-street (I know it's mine)
So here's the dilema,
What style should I go for?, What brand should I get?, What size am I?
Your starting point should be either measuring yourself (if you feel confident enough to do so) or get a professional to measure you, most stores will offer a measuring service, so don't be afraid to ask!
If you don't have a clue how to measure yourself then here's a guide that's available on Topshop's website which will take you through the process :-
Although it's great to get measured and know your body's measurements, always remember that you may be different sizes depending on what brands you are trying on. Different designers can design to different sizings and different materials can alter the size your are so in order to get a perfectly fitted pair of jeans you really always should try them on to be sure and to ultimatly be happy.
I have lots of different jeans by different brands and all of the sizes vary. I have also even found that having two pairs of jeans in the same size by the same designer that the fits have been very differen too, this is to do with the two jeans being slightly different cuts, i.e. skinny fit and slim fit
My advice - So, when searching for your new jeans, get measured and then find a few different shapes/styles of jeans by a few different brands that you like, try them on and then eliminate the ones you don't feel comfortable / like on and you should find your ideal pair.
It may seem like a whole lot of hassle searching for your perfect jeans but I can say it is really worth it when you find them and what a great feeling you will have when you first show off in your perfect pair of jeans.
